Concentrated solar power can be used for more than just energy generation. The EU-funded CST4ALL project seeks to identify an array of hybridisation initiatives between concentrated solar thermal power and other technologies for three sectors: electricity, heat and fuels. The project will conduct a set of workshops with research and industrial stakeholders to better coordinate technology improvements. The idea is to expand the Concentrated Solar Power Implementation Working Group in the SET Plan and to raise general awareness about the role it can play in a future sustainable energy mix. The project will also create specific EU-level proposals for a political/regulatory framework.
