The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) is a membership-based, non-profit association, representing the largest low-carbon energy research community in Europe and playing a pivotal role in the European Union's Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan. Founded in 2008 by leading research institutes, its aim is to expand and optimise EU energy research capabilities. Today, it brings together over 250 organizations from 30 countries. EERA coordinates its activities through 18 Joint Programs, offering world-leading scientific expertise in three main areas: low-carbon technologies, materials, and systems.
These 18 programs are aligned with the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan), which implies a harmonisation of the strategic objectives of both initiatives with the European Green Deal and the related Industrial Plan, particularly the Zero Net Emissions Industry Law and the REPowerEU plan
Spain actively participates in 17 of the 18 joint programs, represented by over 30 organisations, including universities and public and private Research & Development centres.
This event is organised to:
Highlight and disseminate Spanish participation in EERA (European Energy Research Alliance) and analyse the added value of this participation in different thematic areas.
Identify and establish coordination mechanisms among the different working groups of EERA, seeking synergies and more cross-cutting actions.
Encourage the addition of new partners and involve Spanish technological platforms to access the industrial and business sectors.
The event will be followed by a networking lunch.
